What punishments turned these women into monsters? From what odyssey, from what fantastic tale do they emerge as protagonists? Behind their vacant faces, are they benevolent, perilous, or merely indifferent to those who behold them?

These “gynomorphs” are also mirrors of your own desires, and of their limits. Will you be frightened, or drawn instead? Will you embrace the pleasure that the contemplation of such chimaeras may bestow? Will you mock them, cherish them, or pity them?

For their condition and their melancholy pose a central question: what remains of their femininity? Loquacious in their silence, deaf to all your replies, they ask: “Are we still desirable?”

This monstrous and sensual parade invites you into an experience that shatters your frames of reference on womanhood. Before each of these creatures, you will know whether it is the deformity, or the woman persisting behind the monster, that prevails.

Thus, “I desire no real woman” becomes in truth an invitation for each to journey towards their own desire.
